im leaving home in about 15mins time.
booking in back to tekong!
army was average, there were the usual good and bad stuffs to talk about.
which i cant really reveal here (theres alot of censorship).
yeap. i booked out on the 23rd jan which was my birthday!
there were alot of surprises for that day which totally took me off guard many times.
i was seriously touched by many people on that day.
though i was totally ignorant of that day was actually my birthday, the time i spent that day was totally memorable.

thanks for those who remembered, and wished me a happy birthday.
you know who you are and i know every single one of you who sent.
thank you very very much!

ZHI LUN IS TURNING FROM A BOY INTO A MAN!!

bah probably the suckiest thing i have to go without in army is MUSIC.
i listen to them everyday at home and even when i bathe, i take my mp3 phone into the toilet.
YES EVERYDAY and will have my mini concert inside.
no rihanna for two weeks.
no usher for two weeks.
no beyonce for two weeks. (omg all black people. i love black singers!!)
no pussycat dolls for two weeks. (nicole sherzinger!!! <3)
lol speaking of pcd, "i hate this part" is a great song! go listen to it.
i wonder if im gonna be in camp for birthday this year.
oh nooo im not gonna tell anyone its my birthday inside.
but meanwhile, you guys can get me presents!! :D HAHA.

two more days till enlistment!!
or should i say left with less than 30hours of free activity since 9th jan itself will be spent at tekong.
so this will most probably be my last post before enlistment.
how time flies man!!
just hope my company will be average - not over xiong or over slack kind.
and my bunk mates will be fun and my buddy to be a nice and easy to get along with type of person.

just to blog about the bird park trip with daph, mel and weipeng.
many many types of birds there and didnt really expect to see penguins (i thought i only find them in zoo)
ahaha.
we also went for 2 bird shows, one at 11am and another at 4pm.
the 11am one was very entertaining and they kept asking for volunteers.
many people (most are tourists from india) volunteered but i got chosen for one part!! LOL lucky sia.
i was suppose to hold up a hula hoop which the bird is going to fly through later.
it was cool sia and many people were busy snapping photos of erm, me and the hoop. lol.

i was looking forward to have birds standing on my arms everywhere and i got the chance!!
at this particular place called the lory loft, you get to feed the birds if you buy some nectar at 3bucks!! :D
just some tips if you wanna go bird park next time, buy your own water and food before you go. its darn ex!!
one hotdog bun for $5.50. LOL MAN!! X_X
after which we went zhen fa at novena for steamboat with jarrod.
then touring at ntu and nus.

okay im blogging at almost 2am now and im gonna go bed in half an hours time.
so pardon me if the photos look very candid and unedited, together with my poor grammar.
cause im waking up later to go bird park with daph and mel to celebrate mel's bday!! :D
woohoo.

it had been a quite a busy week for me as i attended alot of outings.
lets start with the latest one first.

yesterday (just a few hours back) went for shokudo at raffles city for 0712D class dinner.
mr ng treated us again!! :D but a pity some people couldnt make it.
ate, chatted and i took lots of photos with shoujun's camera.
its a great canon camera (those professional black colour one) which im gonna get it sometime this or next year.
totally cool and the quality of the photos are great (but it comes at a large cost too).

3rd jan had another class outing but this time with ex-0612J folks.
we went for lunch @ my izukaya @ MOF located at suntec city.
food was okay and i thought the ambience was quite good.
the service is also good hah.
and er after which we went for a gig at esplanade before everyone splits up as some others got things at night.
i went to meet daphne after that as she was in town.
oh before my lunch i was at ps visiting yuxian at her workplace: toy outbox.
cool shop! hahah i wanted to act like some shopper inside.
and later someone approached me at dhoby gaut mrt asking me whether im interested in some modelling career or something.
he passed me his namecard duno from what imodelsinternational.
but aiya too bad i cant. you want botak model anot? (if you guys didnt know im enlisting next week) lol.

2nd jan was BP march back day.
it was a really meaningful day.
first, BPGHS moved back to its usual place in cck instead of the current parking lot at teck whye.
secondly, i took alot of photos with ex-school mates and teachers.
lastly, i found a sculpture which i made during sec2 in the art room.
that last thing was a whole nostalgia it was really overwhelming.
i didnt know that thing still existed there lo.
the new campus is much bigger and cooler.
so proud of myself being an ex-bpian.

and new year eve, it was counting down at marina barrage with zijie and geraldine.
the fireworks was really worth the wait man.
very nice especially the finale.
haha zijie treated us to newyork newyork (most of it) while we paid for the drinks lah.
he changed quite abit especially his voice which really startled me.
but nevertheless it was a great night (except for the gelatissimo icecream which is totally expensive at the flyer)

happy 2009 to all still reading this blog!
first thing if you realised i've removed the song of the day thing.
sometimes it just doesnt suit the mood of the whole post so i might as well just remove it.
i will only include it if i have a good song to share. so yeap.
when i started out this blog, it is to have a place for me to share and record whatever i've done.
you see, the human brain is a complex thing.
you probably remember your funniest, most painful, most heartbreaking, most shocking moments of your life.
what about the countless fun times you share with your friends?
sometimes when i read my archives, i go like "oh so this and this happened in 2006"
nevertheless, the main subject for this post will be a summary of things and friends in 2008.

2008 had been a really fulfilling year for me.
for it is probably the most unforgettable and important year for me in my jc education.
important being the a level year.
seriously exams had never left such impact on me ever since i took it.
but a levels is different.
just last week i still have dreams of me not finishing my paper on time.
the real fact is, exams are over and YES I FINISH ALL MY PAPERS.
so its a real bitch that i still can have such dreams.

many many new friends made in 2008.
from pahang camp in malaysia (dec 2007), orientation and friends from NMA too.
like what i used to say, its really a good switch of cca from canoeing to NMA.
everyone there is really fun and nice.
what i did in the few months in NMA already far surpassed what i've achieved in canoeing over the past two years. lol.

good friends come and go.
its always the case no matter where i go.
friends forever is easy but besties forever is never easy.
im thankful enough for that daphne, melanie and hongwei are always there for me.
friends of 2008 include:
Eugene, Zi Jie, Ivan, Zi Yang, Jack, Asri, Yu Xian, Vivien and Geraldine.
as for the best friend of 2008: its none other than Zi Jie.
i thanked him for the patience and time he gave me for year 2008.
we went into 0712D as retainees.
and worked together to our graduation.
we learn from one another, we share, we laugh and we eat.
lol thank you so much for your generosity and always giving me one ichigo bliss whenever you order it.
like what i said, the best gift you can give to someone is your time.

Asri: fate brought us together the moment i joined NMA. you laughed at my big nose you shit. but seriously, i've never met someone as psychic as me. reading my mind was difficult for all others other than you. sucker. but thanks for the fun times you gave me, your psp and all. the best of it? thanks for being you.

Yu Xian: a friend that i will always remember down the road. one of my greatest treasure found in innova. likewise, you know almost everything about me. thanks for being a listening ear when i needed one cause you will always be there. and for teaching me math. and physics. and as a study companion. life in innova is definitely made much easier due to your presence. thanks for filling up my space with green and brown. hahaa.

Ivan: probably the most talkative close friend i ever had. i always thought i win in talking but not until i meet you. haha! thanks for all the nonsense in class. and getting scolded by teachers when im the one who started talking. oh and for the box of camel bones too.

Eugene: my buddy. thanks for being my mask. its great having someone to be the bad guy and the best part: he doesnt even mind. with you around, my life became less quiet lol but thats great because i hate the silence (unless im sleeping). you've been a really good friend and a brother to me. thanks babe!

Vivien: HAHA I ALWAYS GO HIGH WHEN I CHAT WITH YOU. probably the friend who brought me the most number of cold jokes. really random. and bringing me to mindscafe! i cant stop laughing at the dinosaur game. you're reaction was pretty retarded and hilarious but hey!! you brought me smiles. you're one of the reasons why i never regretted joining NMA.

Jack: probably the person i hugged the most in class. HAHA we're damn gay but man thanks for what you gave in 08. our friendship has probably been the most truthful one. it's always good to have friends who knows whats best for you and advising what you should do. thanks for being the one jack.

Zi Yang: okay im not going to complain why you didnt send me happy new year greeting. HAHA. thanks for the time you gave me and listening to me as i talk. you know i cant stop talking and thanks for giving me all the chance to talk on our way home. but haiya, stop being so defensive for yourself okay.

Geraldine: we probably only became close during the last month but hey, you've been a nice friend to talk to. thanks for walking into 2009 with me!

Zi Jie: whatever i want to say i already told you in person already. we survived jc and now army's coming!! ever since we started talking during oral in 2006, it already proved that we have something in common. and guess what, retaining together!! haha. and guess what? 3 years! we've known each other for 3 years already. time really flies!!

Daphne/Melanie: utmost importance. we promised never to lose one another and never will we! :D

Hong Wei: passive friendship. probably the longest best friend i ever had (since sec2). all started with gunbound until now. we've really grown up haven we?

Teachers: the time you all gave me be it during tutorials/consultations, thank you so much. innova teachers have been the greatest bunch i ever get. real hardworking teachers. you are the motivation for me to get better grades.

to all others who crossed my path in 2008: definitely everyone created a little part of me. thanks for everything because it's you who made me what i am today.

few resolutions for 2009:
1. Family and friends and myself to have really good health.
2. Get into one of the top 3 local universities' FASS.
3. Get rich.
4. Winner of a reality show.
5. and the list goes on and on.

last but not least, HAPPY 2009 TO ALL.
wish all of you to have a wonderful year ahead. :D
